A director for the "Hawkeye" series has not yet been found

The Marvel Cinematic Universe keeps growing and growing. But not only as far as feature films are concerned, but recently also increasingly in the area of series. Among them is now also a Hawkeye series, in which a reunion with Jeremy Renner will take place. The search for his partner is also in progress, and it looks like the current favorite is Hailee Steinfeld, who could become the new Kate Bishop in the future. Many of you might know her from the western movie True Grit and especially from the Transformers spinoff Bumblebee.

The series will revolve around the beginnings of the young Kate Bishop, who will be trained by Clint Barton to become the new Hawkeye. There will also be some links to the transformation of Barton since Avengers Infinity War.

In the comics, Kate Bishop is one of the so-called Young Avengers who could clearly shape the MCU in the future, but there is still no confirmation.

Behind the scenes, screenwriter Jonathan Igla, who also worked on Mad Men, will take over the production. However, a director and other cast members haven't been found yet, but there is still time, as the series won't be released until 2021 anyway.

Those who already want to see new series on Disney+ should already be satisfied with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in the end of 2020 and shortly after Wandavision, Loki and the What If series. Phase 4 of the MCU will be heralded in the cinema next year with Black Widow.
