With "Crawl", Paramount Pictures presented us with an animal horror shocker in 2019, which became a bit of a hit with worldwide box office takings of over 90 million dollars. Part 2 is now in development and the director is back!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alexandre Aja – who already directed the first part – will take over the direction of "Crawl 2". The screenplay comes from Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan, known for "Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" and "Project Almanac". Based on initial information, the sequel will be set in New York – more precisely, this time, the bloodthirsty alligators will be up to mischief in the sewers of the metropolis. Filming is set to begin in Europe at the end of this year, so a release in 2025 seems possible.
