Razzie Awards 2025: Worst Films Of The Year
Marvel, DC, and one of the greatest directors of all time were "honored"
Whenever the Oscars take place, another award ceremony is not far away: The Golden Raspberry Awards. However, it is not the best films of the year that are honored here, but rather the opposite. The prizes are awarded for the worst films, performances and other achievements.
Two days before the Academy Awards, on February 28, the so-called Razzies were presented. As every year, the "winners" received a golden raspberry as a trophy. Among the nominees and winners were some of Hollywood's high-caliber stars...
One award in particular received a lot of attention. One of the greatest directors received a trophy: Francis Ford Coppola. The film legend received the award for "Megalopolis". Coppola is of course best known to film fans for his masterpieces such as "Apocalypse Now" and the "Godfather" trilogy. The director reacted cynically to his trophy via Instagram and reaffirmed his desire to make art outside the established rules.
Marvel and DC were also honored with wins and nominations at the awards ceremony: "Madame Web" took home the award for Worst Film. Joker 2: Folie à Deux" was also nominated several times and had to settle for 2 awards.
