Jeff Bridges Returns for "Tron 3: Ares"!
Jared Leto will play the leading role
15 years after "Tron: Legacy", we can finally look forward to "Tron 3: Ares" next year, for which a true veteran of the series will return.
We are of course talking about Jeff Bridges, who has already played the lead role of Kevin Flynn in the two previous "Tron" films.
In the Film Comment Podcast, Bridges disclosed that he will also be involved in the sequel "Tron 3: Ares". He is looking forward to the opportunity to stand in front of the camera with lead actor Jared Leto. However, it remains unclear how big his role will be in part 3. Given his later entry into the production and the fact that Leto will be playing the lead role this time, Bridges' part in the film could be significantly smaller than expected. Nevertheless, his involvement is likely to be the first indication that "Tron 3" will in some way tie in with the events of its predecessors.
The science fiction adventure directed by Joachim Rønning is expected to be released in cinemas next year.
