Netflix Is Working on a New "Fear Street" Movie
The streaming service would also like to create its own horror icon
News about Fear Street: Netflix is planning another movie from author R.L. Stine's popular horror universe.
Following the huge success of the "Fear Street" trilogy, which won over horror fans and critics alike, another installment of the novel series is now in the works. Scott Stuber - Head of Netflix Film - revealed in an interview with Collider that the horror franchise is to be expanded with a further film. Stuber also commented on the idea of creating their own horror icon to rival existing characters such as Jason, Freddy Kruger and Michael Myers.
It remains to be seen what this means exactly and whether this character will already be introduced in the "Fear Street" films. However, there is obviously no lack of creative influences, as the horror series comprises more than 50 books.
