Overview

The narrative follows 75-year-old John Perry, who joins the military following the death of his wife and best friend. His consciousness is transferred into a rejuvenated, genetically enhanced body, offering him a new chance at life on the front lines. However, there’s a twist: he discovers he is fighting alongside a younger incarnation of his wife. Although she occupies her own body, her mind belongs to someone else, which leads John to grapple with his feelings of loss while attempting to revive a past romance amid an interstellar conflict.
