Background
Several stars from the original film will return for the sequel to the cult classic "Spaceballs." Perhaps the biggest casting surprise is the return of Rick Moranis. Moranis had actually largely retired from acting years ago. Bill Pullman is also back: the star of "Independence Day" returns as Lone Starr.
The director of "Spaceballs 2" is Josh Greenbaum, who is known for the comedy series "New Girl," among other projects. Mel Brooks is also involved behind the scenes once again. This time, he's serving as a producer and will once again appear in the sequel!
