A new spin-off titled "Donkey" is in the works. As the title suggests, this time the story will center on Shrek's faithful companion, Donkey. "Donkey" tells the backstory of the beloved character. The film is described as an origin story and is set to show how Donkey became the loyal companion who always stands by Shrek's side. Some particularly exciting news for fans: Eddie Murphy will once again lend his voice to the character.
