The Young Kadyas
Overview
Twenty-five girls from Israel and Germany set out on a journey to learn and sing songs that poet Kadya Molodowsky wrote as poems and to which Alan Bern composed melodies. But before the girls lies not only the task of learning the repertoire, but they have to grow from two choirs into one. And that is not easy, because so much separates them: they are Arab, Jewish, German; they are Muslim, Catholic, Protestant, atheist; they speak Arabic, Hebrew, English, German, French, Russian. But not all of them can communicate. And then they are also between 9 and 21 years old. But they all have one thing in common: they love singing. But can that be enough?
