Overview

When designer Cyrill Gutsch meets legendary marine activist Paul Watson, he decides to turn his life upside down and gather together artists, celebrities and scientists to fight together against plastic waste pollution and the imminent collapse of the world's oceans. A decisive encounter, from which the PARLEY for the Oceans movement will emerge in the following years. "Swarm Intelligence" shows a unique eco-revolution and begins just before the climax - the closing rally of the first ocean conference, a high-level meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in NYC. After highlighting the global relevance of the PARLEY movement in the light of international politics, the documentary and series tell in flashbacks of a four-year emotional journey.
