Everyone loves the go-getter teacher Zeki Müller (Elyas M'Barek) , but his new daily routine at Goethe Comprehensive School is really getting on his nerves: getting up early, rebellious students, and all that constant grading! As if that weren't enough, the high-powered principal Gerster (Katja Riemann) is also trying to outdo the competition in classical languages and snatch the Thai partner school away from the Schiller High School. Her goal: to boost the Goethe Comprehensive School's reputation so it can become the flagship of the Ministry of Education's new campaign.
The last thing Zeki can imagine is taking his troubled classes on a big international field trip. But when part of his loot—which had surprisingly resurfaced—ends up in a donation container in Thailand due to a blunder by Lisi Schnabelstedt (Karoline Herfurth) , he has no choice: he must retrieve the diamonds he'd hidden inside a stuffed animal. So Müller volunteers for the class trip to a small Thai coastal town. In Southeast Asia, Chantal (Jella Haase) , Zeynep (Gizem Emre) , Danger (Max von der Groeben) , and the others really let loose. And as if Zeki didn't already have enough on his plate with the turbulent war between teachers and students, a bitter rivalry also flares up with the elitist Schiller High School and its snobbish "super-teacher" Hauke Wölki (Volker Bruch) , whose sole goal is to destroy Müller's career.
