Registration and API key

Registration and API key are currently only required for extended use (including a higher number of daily accesses) of the API. By registering, you will receive an API key that enables extended access. The API key is non-transferable and should be kept safe and not passed on to third parties at any time.

By using our API, we can use the transmitted information in accordance with our privacy policy. When the API is accessed, only the IP address of the accessing client is stored for a period of 60 days (log data). This data is automatically and completely deleted at the end of this period.

Further information on the protection of your data and which data is required can be found in our privacy policy.

Account deletion

You can terminate the use of our API at any time with or without notice. If you have an existing API account, you can cancel the terms at any time by deleting the account. All access data (log data - see: ‘User data protection’) is automatically deleted 60 days after account deletion.

We reserve the right to terminate the Terms with you by suspending or cancelling the Account or discontinue the API or any part or feature or your access to it for any reason and at any time, without liability or other obligation to you.

Restrictions on use

Quota restrictions apply, which depend on your account and the access rights granted. Any improper or illegal use of the API is prohibited.

You may only access (or attempt to access) the API as described in the documentation for the relevant API. If we assign you developer credentials, you must use them for the applicable APIs. You will not misrepresent or conceal your identity or the identity of your API customer when using the APIs or developer accounts.

We will set and enforce limits on your use of the API in our sole discretion (for example, limiting the number of API requests you may make or the number of users you may serve). You agree and will not attempt to circumvent such limitations documented with the API.

API keys and monitoring

The API is designed to help you improve your websites and applications (‘API client(s)’).

You agree that we may monitor the use of the API to ensure and improve quality and to check compliance with the Terms.

This monitoring may involve us accessing and using your API key to identify, for example, security issues that could affect us or users. You will not interfere with this monitoring. We may use any technical means to prevent such interference. We may suspend access to the API by you or your API Key without notice if we have reason to believe that you are in breach of the Terms.

Changes

some.marketing GmbH reserves the right to change the API and its terms of use at any time. We will inform you of any significant changes on the API entry page.

Liability

We accept no liability for damages arising from the use of the API.

Termination

some.marketing GmbH can block or terminate API access at any time, especially in the event of offences.
