- stuhannaford3d agoI enjoyed it. I’m not entirely sure I can tie all the loose ends up in my mind, nor can I shake off the feeling that the finale is a little bit of a let down, after the build up. The back and forth of ‘is it’ or ‘isn’t it’ works well and keeps you guessing. As a dog lover, I had anxiety when their loyal dog was on screen… I’ll say no more.
- DJOctober 17, 2024Aja is a solid horror director and it continues to show with Never Let Go. This is a woods isolation movie about a small family whose mom is either mentally unstable or sees evil. It’s pretty bleak, and has hints of Aja’s past work more than his most recent stuff. It’s not perfect, but if you are a fan of stuff like A Quiet Place or Bird Box, it’s along those lines.

The film reflects the true life, a mother who wants to protect her children under all circumstances and ties them to herself and two children who want to break out to explore their world. A conflict is pre-programmed.
- Snedaker21HillMarch 19, 2025Very predictable from the very beginning, execution was beyond a snore fest, and the actors/actress did their best but what a slow, agonizing movie. Hated that I stuck with it till the end, one time watch for sure, would never recommend to anyone.
