About this movie

In Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island, the enigmatic Mr. Roarke (Michael Peña) makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives. Also starring Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Austin Stowell, Jimmy O. Yang and Ryan Hansen. The film is written by Jeff Wadlow & Chris Roach & Jillian Jacobs and is directed by Jeff Wadlow.

The whole "It's bad on purpose" defense is almost as lame as this movie. I wish I could have used this defense when taking a math test back in the day. You know, maybe fill out a few answers then get frustrated and start drawing pictures on my test, acting like I don't care. "You suck for not understanding me, teach." Run from this movie. Just don't ask Michael Rooker for directions.

My girlfriend and I saw this in theaters, its awful. Honestly Blumhouse is starting to feeling like cinema trash, most all movies including this one is choppy, rushed plot that makes not very much sense, terrible transition between scenes, lack of story completion, I could honestly go on forever. Basically this movie sucks badly. I feel the concept is great but the execution was extremely bad, and the B-list actors just added to the cringey-ness of the film.

I think this movie was pretty good, despite the reviews! It had flaws, but overall I liked it. I’m good at analyzing movies so I knew where it was going at one point in the movie to which the plot twists were really on point I was like oh snap! Suspenseful...almost reminds me of a pg version of saw or hostel, so this movie was great for me because I can’t watch saw or hostel; too nasty
