After David Gordon Green left the production of "The Exorcist 3: Deceiver" due to scheduling conflicts with another project, the planned sequels seemed to have been put on hold for the time being. Now Mike Flanagan might revive the series.

As Deadline reports, Flanagan is currently in talks with Blumhouse and Universal to direct "The Exorcist 3: Deceiver". The director has already proven his skills on several occasions – for example with the Netflix series "The Haunting of Hill House" and "The Fall of the House of Usher" as well as the "Shining" sequel "Doctor Sleep".

So if Flanagan really does commit, the planned cinema release next year could also become a reality again. We'll keep you up to date as always!
