First Picture of David Corenswet as Superman Revealed!

So there he is, the new Man of Steel! James Gunn gives us a first look at David Corenswet in the iconic Superman costume on his Instagram account.

You can see Corenswet, alias Clark Kent, sitting in an apartment and getting dressed - but he doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry. The Metropolis skyline can be seen in the background, with a peculiar laser soaring above it. This could possibly be a threat, after all, Superman seems to be getting ready for battle. The condition of his suit also suggests that he has already fought some fights.

In addition to lead actor Corenswet, a number of other stars will be involved in the project: for example Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as antagonist Lex Luther, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern and allegedly "House of the Dragon" star Milly Alcock as Supergirl.

Directed by James Gunn, "Superman" marks the beginning of the new DCU and will be released in cinemas on July 11, 2025.
